From October 12-16 Jyväskylä will host the international annual conference of The Competitiveness Institute. The annual conference has thus far been staged on 11 occasions in different parts of the world. This year the theme is "Learning Clusters - adapting to the new competitiveness scenario".
The organisers of the event are the Regional Council of Central Finland and the City of Jyväskylä, with EduCluster Finland in charge of arrangements.
"We're expecting from two to four hundred international entrepreneurs, cluster developers and representatives of the academic world to attend the conference. The programme includes visits to Finnish cluster companies as well as research and educational institutions, keynote speeches, workshops and examples of clusters and networks around the world," explains Development Coordinator Anna Korpi.
In addition to traditional seminars the Learning Clusters conference will feature a great deal of activity that is close to practice and solution-centred.
"The conference won't just include networking and introductions to global and local innovations - we believe that a dynamic package can create new thinking on boosting competitiveness. The aim is to develop new ways of operating in a group with truly global qualifications," Korpi continues.
EduCluster Finland is an expert network based in Central Finland and specialising in educational knowhow. It produces a variety of customer-oriented educational and development services for the domestic and international market.
