Restaurant Priimus is a youthful alternative

”Youthful, airy and light” is how Business Manager Merja Herronen describes the overall feel of the newly refurbished Restaurant Priimus. Catering for lunches and special occasions, the 250-seat restaurant will re-open its doors in August after complete renovation.

Priimus will concentrate on lunch and café services. The restaurant and private function rooms can be booked for family occasions, corporate events and congresses. The modern conference facilities can seat a total of 120 persons. The restaurant itself is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the shore of a lake but just a few minutes away from the centre of Jyväskylä. The lake scenery unfolds immediately visitors step into the restaurant’s reception area. The best views are to be had from the summer terrace, which seats approximately a hundred guests.

Restaurant Priimus constitutes an alternative with a difference on the Jyväskylä restaurant scene. It functions as the on-the-job training location for students of tourism and hospitality at Jyväskylä Vocational Institute (JAO) and Jyväskylä Centre of Adult Education (JAIKO). At the restaurant young people and adults learn their future profession under the supervision of professionals and vocational teachers.
