Enterprises providing wellness services have been brought to peoples attention in a new way in the Jyväskylä Region and northern Central Finland.
The Klemmari (clip) service connects providers of wellness-branch services to those in need of them simply and effectively via the web. When the customer knows what kind of service he or she requires then the provider of the service in question can be found using a single search term. Begun in 2005, the service has now been turned into a brand which gathers small service providers into a large whole. It also brings down obstacles and prejudices against purchasing private wellness services and serves to make the wellness branch better known.
At the present time the services of roughly 150 firms are available through Klemmari. Each month approximately 500 people in search of services visit the web site.
Customers have been predominantly interested in cleaning, home help, visiting medical care, window cleaning and care of children. The concept, which has enjoyed a warm reception, will spread to other parts of Finland in the course of 2007. Serious negotiations have been conducted with 68 areas.
