THE CHURCH OF SÄYNÄTSALO
The church of Säynätsalo is designed by professor Armas Lindgren
and architect Bertel Liljeqvist. The capacity of the church is 400 persons.
The church was opened on Twelfth-night in 1927. The church was constructed
by Hanna Parviainan in 1925. The church has many details, which describe
the local environment. The church was renovated in 1997 by the parish
of Säynätsalo.
By the church is a courtyard designed by architect Aulis Blomstedt. There
is also a herostatue by Wäinö Aaltonen.
The church is open 1.6.-31.8.2004
Mon-Fri 9.00 am - 3.00 pm
Church service every Sunday at 10 am.
