This urban arts festival with long traditions is a fantastic event for families as well as fans of club music and live concerts. For spectators non-verbal theatre opens the door to the fascinating and mysterious world of physical theatre, mime, clownery, new circus and puppet theatre. Top-flight performers from Finland and abroad take over a specially-erected marquee on the old university campus as well as the city theatre, various churches and even the pedestrian precinct. Appearing for the first time in Finland, Portuguese Fado star Mafalda Arnauth and her orchestra will open the concert on 7.7. at 19.00 at Jyväskylä Paviljonki. In the pedestrian precinct festival guests can enjoy the carnival-like street events each day for free.
